Months before the events of SSSS.Gridman, Middle School student Kuzuki Hime comes into contact with the mysterious Samurai Calibur, and as strange monstrosities spring up across Tsutsijidai, she works with him so she can protect people. The other manga, Hime & Samurai, serves as a prequel to the events of SSSS.Gridman. New Century Junior High School Diary is a comedic slice of life spin off, focused on the day-to-day lives of the team within Tsutsijidai, with other characters popping up on occasion. The major villain is Sengoku, an armoured warrior who causes the disease that transforms people into Kaiju, he fought with Gridman on the last, leading to Gridman being confined to the pond.īeside these manga there were 3 anthology comic volumes released. Samurai Calibur is a warrior serving Sengoku, sent as an advance scout against Gridman, before succumbing to the Disease.
